
Ogbunike youths diasporas a non-governmental organization of Ogbunike youths resident outside the shores of Nigeria recently held a Conference/ Mentorship workshop for hundreds of teaming youths mostly of Ogbunike descent at the town’s hall in Oyi local council Area of the State. The maiden edition of the Conference with its theme, the effect of cultism, drug abuse and mental Health on young people in our community, solution and healing techniques also doubled as the official Inaugration of the Association in the Country.

In his address the Converner of the group who also organized the event Ven. Dr. Arinzechukwu Uzomechina an Anglican priest domiciled in New jersey United States of America and a youth advocate decried the scourge, cultism which he insists has wasted young lives, cutting short dreams and destroyed many youths. He urged youths to shun cultism and embrace responsible lifestyles so as to impact the society positively.

Different speakers at the event, including Venerable (SP) Chimdiebele Enukora, Mr. Davidson Igbokwe and Ambassador Timothy Nwachukwu also reiterated on the need for the youths to work hard and smart as well direct their energies towards meaningful ventures for the betterment of the society. Further in their sessions, they focused on their areas of specialty in youth mentorship and reformation programs.
High point of the Conference was cutting of the Group’s Inaugral cake, announcement of empowerment and scholarship plans to the participants, perfomance by some artists and sharing of assorted meals.
