On Foreign Scene

Iran has fired dozens of ballistic missiles at Israel, claiming to target military and security installations in response to the ongoing violence in Gaza and Lebanon. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that approximately 180 missiles were launched, with reports indicating that 90% successfully hit their intended targets.

Israel’s defense systems intercepted many of the missiles, but tensions continue to escalate following the assassination of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. The IRGC stated that this operation, named “True Promise 2,” was a legitimate act of self-defense.

In the wake of these developments, the U.S. has heightened its military presence in the region and warned that any direct attack from Iran would result in severe consequences. As the situation deteriorates, fears of an all-out regional conflict grow, with both Israel and Iran preparing for further military actions.
