One Person Shot Dead As Suspected Internet Fraudsters Protest Against EFCC In Delta
One person was reportedly shot dead as suspected internet fraudsters staged a protest against thet Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, at Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Several trucks were also set ablaze during the protest.
The suspected internet fraudsters later deserted the Otovwodo area in Ughelli for fear of being arrested by security operatives who were on the around to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
In a telephone chat, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, said, “I am not aware of that now. I am waiting for information.”
It is not clear if the person shot dead is one of the suspected internet fraudsters.
