Pastor Sentenced To Death In Rivers State For Murder
The General Overseer of the Altar of Solution and Healing Assembly located in Oyigbo, Rivers State, Pastor Chidiebere Okoroafor, has been sentenced to death over multiple murders.
He was sentenced to death after being found guilty of killing his choir mistress, Orlunma Nwagba, who he allegedly impregnated.
He also faced other murder charges for the killing of Orlunma’s friend, Chigozie Ezenwa, and her 11 months old baby girl, Cresabel, also in Oyogbo Council Area, on December 11, 2017,
Report said the Pastor killed his victims when he tricked them to a bush after they visited him to discuss the pregnancy.
Okoroafor was arrested on December 17, 2017, following an alarm raised by Chigozie’s husband over the killing of three people in two different locations in Oyigbo LGA.
Justice S.O Benson who ruled on the case,
said that the evidence and confessional statements from the pastor showed that he committed the crime.
Justice Benson held that the prosecution proved the case of murder against the cleric, and ordered that he be killed by hanging or be injected with a lethal injection which also kills faster.
