PDP Asks Cross River Members To Remain United Following Governor Ayade’s Defection To APC

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked its members in Cross River state to remain united following the defection of the state governor, Ben Ayade to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

This was contained in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary Kola Ologbondiyan on Friday.

According to the statement, the party called on all critical stakeholders and teeming members of the PDP in Cross Rivers to immediately pull together and ensure that every structure of the party in the state remains intact.

It also wished Governor Ayade well in his new political sojourn as well as in his future endeavours.

Recall that Governor Ayade announced his decision to defect to the APC on Thursday morning after a closed-door meeting with six APC governors and some members of the National Assembly who visited him at the Government House.
