The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated a high-powered Governorship Campaign Council in view of the November 6, 2021 governorship election in the state.
The event took place at a press briefing held at Senator Ekwunife Events Centre in Awka on Sunday, August 15, 2021.
Inaugurating the Committee, the Chairperson of the Campaign Council, Senator Uche Ekwunife, named some of the members to include former Governor Peter Obi, Senator Stella Oduah, a former Aviation Minister, and Senator representing Anambra North, a serving federal lawmaker, Dr Ifedi Okwenna, Dr Alex Obiogbolu, and several other party stalwarts.
Others include Barrister Emeka Etiaba, honourable Eucharia Azodo, Mrs Chidi Onyemelukwe, former Commissioner Joe-Martins Uzodike and Barrister Valentine Ayika.
Senator Ekwunife expressed her commitment towards leading the PDP team to a landslide victory at the poll.
In his remarks, the PDP governorship candidate, Mr Valentine Ozigbo, expressed gratitude and delight at the open arms the political leaders have given and said that history was being made as the PDP in Anambra has not been as united and strong, leading up to an election as it is today.
Also speaking, Dr Obiogbolu, the Campaign’s Director-General, promised Ndi Anambra better days.
