Some members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), yesterday, walked out on Plenary in agitation to the comment made by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila.
During Plenary, the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila mandated four committees to investigate the Twitter/ Federal Government saga and report back to the house in ten days.

However, PDP Caucus leader, Kingsley Chinda, in his submission, moved that Twitter should be unbanned before legislative business will commence , as ten days is a long time to allow the citizens rights to be violated.
Mr Speaker in response, said that as a rule, he should first come with a motion which will be sent to the commitees to consider before reporting to the house and therefore, ruled out Chinda’s order. He also said that the decision to wait for the commitee’s report cannot be reversed.
His response led to a rowdy session and Chinda, alongside 19 other PDP members walked out of the plenary
Talking to journalists, Chinda said that they walked out because they want an immediate reversal of the ban before the legislature and Executive will deliberate on it. He said their actions were in support of the Nigerian people .
Chinda, in defiance to the government’s order, said that they will not stop tweeting and said the government should arrest them and not their constituents . He also said that it is not wrong to make an inclusion to the resolution of the House, which was what he did.
