People of Ayamelum and parts of Anambra East LGA urge Soludo to improve work on deplorable roads in the area.

The people of Ayamelum and parts of Anambra East LGA have sent a Save Our Souls(SOS) to Governor Charles Soludo to improve work on deplorable roads in the area.

The spokesperson for the affected communities, Chief Ben Onuekwe hinted that the bad condition of the roads have made it practically impossible for the people in the affected communities relate with other towns in the state.

Chief Onuekwe who is also the Coordinator of Society for Sustainable Development (SSD) for Ayamelum noted that the former governor of the state, Mr. Peter Obi in his bid to develop the state and connect every nooks and crannies together, open up Igbariam- Achalla – Nnado Road to join Otuocha – Anaku Express Road during his administration, which made it easier for Ayamelum people to get to Awka within one hour and also made move farm products to Awka, Onitsha and other parts of the state easily.

He appealed to the Hon. Commissioner for Works and Governor Chukwuma Soludo come to their aids by putting up palliative measures to open up the only road that connects Ayamelum to the rest of the world for the free movement of their people and their farm produce.
