Youths from all over Anambra State have been urged to have a rethink before participating in destroying Government and private property under Endsars protest.
In a homily during Mass celebration revently, the Priest at Holy Family Catholic Church, Nkpor, Rev. Fr. Kingsley Maduka emphasised the need for the youth to stave-off destroying property and roads across the state.
The reverend enjoined them to also pray for the State government that had given empowerments to the youths in the state.
He also urged the youths to maintain government directives on the curfew that would effectively run from 6pm to 6 am daily.
Speaking further, the priest pleaded with the Youths to not allow hoodlums to come into the state and destroy our Infrastructures, such as Secretariat, Police Station, Schools, Roads and other Government facilities as Killing people and causing violence during the protest would not solve our problems. Rather that they should Always pray for Nigeria in distress, so that God will come and intervene in the situation of the country.
Rev. Maduka then expressed dissatisfaction at how hoodlums had taken advantage of the protest to commit criminal acts and killings cautioning the youths to be wise and not allow themselves to be used by the opposition.
Concluding, Maduka prayed for peace to reign and for the souls of the departed youths to rest in perfect peace while sympathizing with the families, friends and well wishers of those who lost their lives during the protest in various parts of the country.
