Report has it that former governor of Imo state, Senator Rochas Okorocha was yesterday, arrested by Police in Imo state.
According to report, Senator Rochas Okorocha stormed Owerri from Abuja and personally led his men to unseal his Royal Palm Estate which, 2 days ago, was sealed and marked for demolition by gov Hope Uzodimma. Gov Uzodimma sealed the estate alleging that it was built on the state’s green verge and said all the buildings will be demolished.
Rochas while unsealing the estate warned the governor to keep off or be ready for battle.
According to our source, it gathered that on arrival of Okorocha to unseal the Royal Palm estate, the state govt mobilised their agents led by one of his SAs to chase Okorocha out of the place.
This led to sporadic gun shots and tear gas at the Royal Palm estate.
It was reported that Senator Okorocha’s vehicles were shattered with matchet and bottles. His security aide was also injured .
