A police inspector, Haruna Mohammed, has been found dead in a hotel room at Anthony Uzum Estate, Akute, Ogun State. The officer, attached to Ishashi Police Division in Lagos, checked into Super G Royal Hotel around 1:00 am on Saturday with an unidentified woman.
By morning, hotel staff discovered his lifeless body, while the woman was missing. Reports indicate she was last seen around 6:00 am when she requested table water.
The inspector’s body has been deposited at Life Channel Mortuary, Olambe.
Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident and has launched a manhunt for the fleeing woman. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of death.
