Police Operative Nab Two Robbery Suspects in Anambra

In furtherance with Anambra State Police avowed commitment to stem the tide of crime and other nefarious activities in the State, police operatives attached to Central Police Station(CPS) Awka in conjunction with local vigilante group had on 8th February, 2021 at about 8:pm, arrested two armed robbery suspects at Parkers, Ziks Avenue,Awka following a distress call.

According to Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Haruna Mohammed, the suspects arrested are 19 year old Okafor Stanley ‘m’ of Ezeawulu village,Nibo and,
21 years old Benedith Sunday ‘m’ of Ifite Village Awkuzu.

CSP Haruna said that the Suspects allegedly attacked and snatched at gunpoint a tricycle from a Keke rider at Ziks avenue,Awka.

Exhibits recovered in their possessions include two locally made pistols and the snatched tricycle.

Meanwhile, suspects have voluntarily confessed to the crime and investigation is ongoing after which they would be brought to justice.

The Command, also , is reassuring Ndi Anambra that it will continue to pursue the criminals from all nooks and crannies in the State until they repent or relocate from the State please.
