Police present N43m cheques to families of deceased officers

The Police Command in Cross River has disbursed N43 million to the families of 17 officers who died on duty. State Commissioner of Police Gyogon Grimah presented the cheques in Calabar, aligning with the welfare program initiated by Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun, which supports serving, retired, and deceased personnel.

Grimah advised the beneficiaries to use the financial support wisely, ensuring it benefits the deceased officers’ children and avoids family discord.
