President Bola Tinubu has assured global investors of his administration’s commitment to removing obstacles hindering the ease of doing business in Nigeria.
Speaking at the Nigeria-Qatar Business and Investment Forum in Doha, President Tinubu urged genuine investors to report any official who obstructs progress or demands bribes during dealings in Nigeria directly to him.
He emphasized Nigeria’s readiness for serious business, vowing to address entrenched interests undermining investor confidence in the country’s economy.
President Tinubu pledged to eliminate all bottlenecks hindering profitable and legitimate enterprises, promising reforms to improve the investment climate.
He urged investors not to offer bribes and assured them of access to report any such demands, affirming Nigeria’s commitment to revolutionizing investment promotion.
President Tinubu highlighted strengthened efforts against corruption and insecurity, noting the appointment of Nuhu Ribadu as National Security Adviser.
He reassured investors of Nigeria’s openness for business, emphasizing the safety of investments in the country.
Mohammed Al-Thani, the Qatari Minister of Commerce and Industry, expressed Qatar’s interest in exploring opportunities in Nigeria, particularly in low-carbon initiatives, mineral products, and petroleum chemicals.
President Tinubu attended the event alongside governors, ministers, Nuhu Ribadu, and members of the Nigerian business community.
