President Muhammadu Buhari has urged law enforcement agencies to do a thorough investigation and bring to justice all those behind the reported assassination of the Katsina State Commissioner of Science and Technology, Dr. Rabe Nasir, who was killed in his residence in Katsina State on Wednesday.
Describing the killing as a heinous and condemnable act, the president, in a statement by his senior special assistant on media, Garba Shehu, emphasized that there is no place for such violence in the country and condoling with the bereaved family.
According to the police, one suspect has since been arrested in connection with the incident even as investigations continue.
