President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday, departed Katsina state for Abuja after spending eight days in his country home, Daura, Katsina State.
During the eight-day visit, the President commissioned Zobe Regional Water project – expected to provide 50 million litres of water to the state and the first National Land Development Authority (NALDA) Integrated Farm Estate, expected to equip locals with modern farming techniques,
The President Buhari also commissioned a 50km Dutsin-ma-Tsaskiya Road in Dutsin-ma Council.
On Sallah day, he met with NYSC members serving in Daura, gifting them cows, rice and monetary gifts.
While in Daura, he also hosted Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila and some lawmakers, including APC governors, members of the Katsina State House of Assembly and some government officials.
Buhari also donated cows to military officers, the Brigade and Airforce officers serving in the region.
Before his departure, he received the guard of honour from troops of the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Air Force and was bade farewell by the State Governor, Aminu Masari, his deputy, Mannir Yakubu, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Tasiu Maigari and other top government functionaries.
