The Police Service Commission (PSC) has promoted eight Commissioners of Police to the next rank of Assistant Inspectors General of Police.
A statement signed by the Head, Press and Public Relations of the Commission, Ikechukwu Ani, said the newly promoted AIGs are Benneth Igwe, Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory, FCT Command; Suleiman Abdul, acting Assistant Inspector General of Police, PAB, Force Headquarters Abuja and others
The statement added that 15 Deputy Commissioners of Police were elevated to substantive Commissioners of Police
The promotions were announced at the first Plenary Meeting of the new Board of the Police Service Commission which was presided over by the Chairman of the Commission, retired DIG Hashimu Argungu.
