The 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) got off to a flying start on Friday as newly-promoted side, Remo Stars beat MFM FC 2-goals-to-nil in the opening game of the season.
Remo Stars dominated much of the proceedings in the first half of the encounter and were quick to take the lead 10 minutes after the second half kickoff through Akanni Qudus. Andy Okpe then doubled the lead for Remo stars three minutes into added time.
Action will continue in the NPFL this weekend, with nine other fixtures slated for Sunday.
