The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has issued a stern warning to the Oduma community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The agency demands the return of a stolen pistol within seven days, or the community will face legal action.

This comes after four NDLEA officers were injured during a confrontation with local youths on Wednesday while attempting to arrest drug peddlers.

The NDLEA’s Public Relations Officer, Daniel Obah, reported that the officers were attacked, and their vehicle vandalized.

The community’s Youth President claimed the clash occurred because the arrests were made without notifying local leaders.

However, the NDLEA has condemned these claims, stating that the youths freed the suspects, stole a pistol, and assaulted the officers.

The NDLEA is calling on the community’s leadership to return the stolen items and suspects, warning of legal consequences if they fail to comply.
