Former Commissioner for Transport, Commerce and Tourism respectively under ex- Governor Willie Obiano’s administration, Dr. Christian Madubuko has observed that some people he described as revenue rogues are only pretending to help Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo raise Internally Generated Revenue of the state, whereas the said elements are siphoning government resources through “conduit pipes”.

Madubuko who made the observation during an exclusive interview with our correspondent in Awka at the weekend, said enough is enough for disgruntled elements who have persistently continued to feast on government money in the guise of revenue collection.

The former Commissioner who is a member of the newly constituted Anambra State Board of Internal Revenue, told our correspondent that the board is out to meet the mandate assigned to it by the governor, adding that henceforth all leakages and loopholes will be checkmated to ensure that the revenue base of the state is improved within the timeline given to the board.
