NBA branch chairmen in Rivers State have condemned the query issued to Port Harcourt branch chairman, Cordelia Eke, by State Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), over alleged misconduct.
Eke was accused of co-authoring a communique criticizing the administration, which Ibas claimed violated civil service rules. But in a joint statement, the NBA leaders said Eke acted in her official capacity as an elected chairman, not a civil servant.
They described the query as an attempt to silence legal voices, vowing to uphold the rule of law and resist intimidation.
