Anambra State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission said a Road traffic crash that occurred at Umuokpu, by Awka-Enugu express way, yesterday, 27th November, 2021, left 3 people Injured.
The Acting Sector Public Education Officer, DRC Margaret Onabe, said two vehicles, a Shuttle bus and a Toyota Hilux Pick-Up van, were involved in the crash which occurred at about 2.30 in the afternoon,
She said the probable cause of the crash was Wrongful Overtaking and Overpeeding.
According to an eyewitness report, the bus driver was on top speed, and wrongfully overtook another vehicle, and rammed into the oncoming Hilux van, which was also on top speed, on a single carriage way, leading to the crash
The report said that 4 male adults were involved in the Crash, adding that no death was recorded.
Anambra State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Adeoye Irelewuyi, urged the Motoring public to ensure the road is clear before overtaking and also to always maintain safe speed limit.
