It has been reported that Nigeria Soldiers have opened fire on EndSARS protesters at the Lekki toll gate yesterday.
Videos seen online show several protesters shot at and the wounded ones being treated by the roadside by fellow protesters.
It will be recalled that thousands of protesters demanding for police reforms were at the Lekki Toll gate yesterday evening, apparently defying the Lagos State curfew which was announced earlier in the day. The curfew which was earlier announced to start from 4pm was shifted to 9pm
According to reports, as night fell, security agents, whom those on ground said we’re Soldiers , opened fire on the people.
Nollywood star , Omoni Oboli in a tweet said that security agents attacked the protesters.
Also, DJ Switch, A Nigerian Artiste streamed live shootings from the location on her Instagram page last night. Videos seen online indicate that the area has been thrown into darkness as toll gates lights have been turned off.
Earlier on Tuesday, it was also reported that some unknown men took down the CCTV cameras at the Lekki Toll gate.
In another report, Gov Sanwo Olu of Lagos State has promised to investigate the attack.
