The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Professor Charles Esimone, has reiterated the zero-tolerance stance of his administration to indecent dressing among students in the University.

Professor Esimone restated this at the unveiling of the Dress Code Caution billboards mounted at strategic points within and outside the University campus, on Friday.

According to him, the institution is highly concerned about moulding its students on the right path.

He maintained that the institution has zero tolerance for indecent dressing not just among the students but also the staff members.

The UNIZIK Vice Chancellor added that it is the core responsibility of the University to train its students not just in learning but equally in character, noting also that one is addressed by the way one is dressed.

He commended members of the Vice-Chancellor’s Dress Code Committee led by Dr. Joyce Onyali, for their doggedness and innovative mindset.

In her remarks, the Chairperson of the Committee, Dr. Onyali expressed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for entrusting such vital responsibility to her team, and revealed that the team has marshalled out plans in enforcing decent dressing on the University’s campuses.
