Nigerian international and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen has tested positive for COVID-19.
The Italian club made this known in a tweet on Friday evening after the 22-year old returned from Nigeria where he had celebrated the yuletide.
The club however claimed that Osimhen was yet to meet with the rest of his team mates and was asymptomatic.
The Nigerian Striker, who is the most expensive African footballer has missed 10 consecutive games for Napoli after suffering a shoulder injury in November in Super Eagle’s African nations qualifier against Sierra Leone, is expected to go into isolation.
