Six football teams have qualified for the maiden Anambra Super Eight tournament which is sponsoredd by Aspire FC , Adazi-ani and organized by Anambra Football Association (ANSFA)
The clubs, Pope JohnPaul FC, Rangels FA, Ifechukwu FC, GP World FA, Smith City FC and Golden Boys FC , played their best to ensure they secured the spot to play in the high flying Super Eight.
Of the six, four teams, GP World FA, Smith City FC , Golden Boys FC, Pope JohnPaul FC qualified through penalty kick following a draw in their seperate matches.
The two other teams, Ifechukwu FC and Rangels FA, qualified through regulation time.
The teams expressed joy at qualifying for the tournament and encouraged the defeated teams to keep their heads up and do better next time.
In an interview with our Sports Corespondent, Marvelous Ezenwa, Coach Dimude Chukwuebuka of Rangels FA described football as a game that requires one person to win and the other to lose.
He commended the organizers of the tournament for the wonderful work that brought 27 teams together for the maiden Anambra Super Eight tournament.
The Captain of Rangels FA promised to work harder next time, to lift the trophy, with the support of their fans.
Two more teams , from the best losers, are expected to join the qualified six to make up the Super Eight teams.
