The Anambra state ministry of Transport under Honorable Afam Mbanefo has through its newly created transport command and control centre kicked off the digital registration of Keke operators in the state.
The program is intended to give each Keke operator Security while generating the baseline data of all keke operators in the state. It also has platform that helps the general public to monitor and report undoings of Keke operators, with a view to improve the services of Keke operators in the state.
Each digital registration comes with ATMC code for each Keke, of which none is similar. With this new development, each Keke operator is undeniably responsible for his actions .
The digital registration gives access to the tracking of each Keke which is also valuable in the event of loss of Keke, forgotten property inside keke or accomplice in crime .
The overall purpose being to help the Keke operators secure their tricycle,track crimes committed using Commercial tricycles , at the same time afford the general public the platform to monitor the activities of Tricycles while reporting same.
In this new digital step the ministry hopes to encourage and secure the business of Commercial Tricycles operators in Anambra while affording Ndi Anambra much needed digital platform to monitor and report challenges associated with Tricycles operators like reckless driving , accomplice in crime and many more to the government using the Transport Command and control centre hotlines boldly written on the registration sticker for immediate action.
