
It was a rite of passage as the good people of Amawbia community marked the last Offalla of their Traditional Ruler, Igwe Chinyelu Nnaemeke Nworah- Molokwu at Ugbogiliga Palace, Molokwu Lane, Umueze Village Amawbia, Awka South L.G.A, Anambra State.
The event which started on the 25th of August and ended on the 28th of August 2022 witnessed the presence of Ndi ozo Amawbia, Ndi Nze Amawbia, the Chiefs, Ndi Okeokpa Amawbia, Igwe’s age grade members,Umuokpu, the Amawbia Senior Citizens and all the titled and untitled men in Amawbia, top Government officials, youths, friends and well wishers.
Among the dignitaries that came were the Hon. Commissioner for culture and tourism, Chief Don Onyenji, the Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Local government affairs, Hon Collins Nwabunne, the chairman PDP Anambra State, Chief Ndubisi Nwobu, (Obuka Awka).
In the same vein, a son of the soil, Hon. Chukwuma Pius Okoye, also known with his traditional title as Ozo Mkpuru obi Amawbia and is also the member representing Awka South II in the Anambra State house of Assembly, narrated his cordiality with Igwe Chinyelu Nnaemeke Nworah- Molokwu and further stated that the large crowd of people seen in the arena was as a result of how good their Igwe was to them. He described the Igwe as a trustworthy and sincere person while he lived and such motivated him and the entire community to have participated fully in the Last Offalla of Igwe Chinyelu Nnaemeke Nworah- Molokwu.
In his own speech, the Director General of Nwa- Anaoyoeze campaign organisation, Hon. Innocent Ekemezie a.k.a Nzeabata na Umuawulu said that they accompanied Hon. Chukwuma Pius Okoye to pay homage to Igwe Chinyelu Nnaemeke Nworah- Molokwu. Amongst the team was Engr. Arinze Obiekezie.
