In his sermon, Reverend Canon Nnamdi Ajaoku who is also the Parish Priest, Saint Mark’s Parish, Umuawulu, centered his sermon on godliness and contentment as regards this year’s theme of the conference where he pointed out that one of the attributes of contentment is humility.

He urged Christians to humble themselves for all they have was given to them by God.

He stated that lack of contentment could lead to envy which can cause social vices.

He further urged Christians to desist from envy and be contented with the little they have and that in no distance time their joy will be complete.

Part of the activities at the conference was the cutting of cake aimed at supporting the diocesan youth fellowship for their service to God.

At the end of the service, an award was given to Iloanya Chisom from Nibo Archdeaconry as winner of the Children Department’s Bible quiz, while Onyedika Chioma Ibenegbu from Nawfia Archdeaconry went home with an award as the winner of the adult bible quiz competition.
