Three Nabbed Following Cult Clash That Claimed One Life In Awka
At least one person has been confirmed dead in the Awka cult shooting, which was witnessed on Saturday morning.
had earlier reported that there was shooting at Ziks Avenue in Awka, where rival cult groups were alleged to have clashed.
Further enquiry showed that one member of one of the cult group, who was whisked away by a rival cult group was later found dead in another location.
Three persons in connection to the cult clash were also said to have been arrested by the police.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the report.
Ikenga said: “One person was whisked away and later his lifeless body was found along Abba/Ifitedunu Road.
“Meanwhile we have three suspects in custody, and operations is till ongoing,” he said.
