Today is Christmas Day.
Today is Christmas Day.
25th December every year is a day Christians commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.
Church Services are held in Churches to mark the day, while leaders, friends and relatives also use the occasion to send goodwill messages and gifts to their loved ones.
Meanwhile, the federal government has earlier declared Monday, 26th, Tuesday, 27th December, 2022 and Monday, 2nd January 2023, as public holidays to mark the Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year Day celebrations respectively.
Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, made the declaration on behalf of the federal government through a statement on Thursday in Abuja.
He felicitated with Christians and all Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora on this year’s Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Ogbeni Aregbesola enjoined Christians to emulate Jesus Christ in deeds and follow his teachings, especially on faith, hope and love.
