It was a dramatic scene at Nkwọ Ụga market in Uga, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, as youths of the Town in a mob action apprehended a young man believed to be a member of unknown gunmen that have terrorized the town.
It was gathered that the gumman who stormed the area to pick motorcycles that aid their criminal operation started shooting sporadically in the air to scare away people so that they can freely do what they came to do.
A source in the area, however, said immediately other members of the gang fled with the snatched motorcycles as youths went after them, the driver of the bus was trapped as the courageous youths immediately used an iron barricades to block the road and as a result apprehended him as tried to escape through a near by bush.
It was also gathered that the mob nearly set him ablaze immediately, but instead decided to interrogate him, as he had already received adequate beating.
During the interrogation, the suspect, who said he hails from Ebenator in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, also confessed to the crime, and further revealed a partial identity of their leader and traditional herbalist who prepares charms for them.
To the amazement of the villagers when he was stripped charms were seen hanging both on this chest and waist, he has been handed over to appropriate authorities for further action
