UK Announces it Will Still Process Student, Work and Permanent Resident Visas Despite Ban on Nigeria

The United Kingdom has announced that it will still process student visa, work visa or permanent resident visa despite the ban on the entry of Nigerian into the UK.

In a statement released earlier on Tuesday, the British High Commission clarified that the ban only affects people going to the UK for tourism, visiting friends, short term business activities and for medical reasons.

People that are allowed into the UK until the ban is reviewed will be quarantined in a facility.

Following the ban of Nigeria from entering Uk, Nigerian government has called on the British government to review the decision and reverse it immediately.

The Minister of Information and Culture , Lai Mohammed said that the world should instead seriously look at the issue of access to vaccines and how it affects developing countries.
