Ukraine has accepted a 30-day ceasefire proposal from the United States after peace talks in Saudi Arabia.
President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the agreement, stating that it covers the entire front line with Russia and will take effect once Moscow agrees. In response, the US has pledged to resume security assistance and intelligence sharing with Ukraine.
Both nations also agreed to fast-track a rare minerals deal to boost Ukraine’s economy and security. The US will now work to persuade Russia to accept the ceasefire, which could be extended if all parties agree.
