Earlier in his remarks, Chief Edwin Okolo who chaired the event, said the programme was aimed at equipping the students with intensive coaching classes and career talks that would guide them with the knowledge and skills to excel in their academic pursuit.
While Okolo attributed many changes in society to loss of values and illiteracy, he said adequate knowledge of direction to maximize talents will lead society out of shells and ugly situations. He further reminded the beneficiaries that quality education guarantees knowledge that would help them live an accomplished life.

Again, he urged the students to cultivate learning attitudes and morals so as to maximize their potential, stating that the first step of learning is learning how to learn. He also advised them to maintain self-value, leverage on their personal values and work to improve their image in society by wearing the ornaments of education.

The retired university don further maintained that the programme has provided a rare opportunity for many students who have benefitted from it since its 9 years of existence to gain admission to the university.

The programme sponsor and founder of Chude and Ego Charity Foundation, Mr Nonso Okpala, in his speech, noted that the decision to sponsor the programme was borne out of the interest of providing everything possible in education and healthcare delivery to better the lives of the people and society.

He promised to sponsor the university programme of any product of the centre who is able to achieve the highest performance in the subsequent university entrance examination encouraging the students to take their studies seriously, so as to become providers of help in the future to society when fully established.
