Report has it that from March 1, the United States of America , would increase visitor visa validity from 24 months to 60 months for Nigerians who want to enter the United States temporarily for business and/or tourism.

In a press statement released recently, they added that the visa application fee, currently at $160, would not increase as a result of the increased visa validity.

The statement noted that increasing the visa validity was one of several initiatives taken by the United States to reduce visa appointment wait times in Nigeria.

It also noted that the US Mission continues to offer No-Interview Visa Renewals to those who meet the eligibility criteria, adding that appointments for No-Interview Visa Renewals were readily available.

The statement also added that Nigerians may be eligible for a visa renewal without an interview if application is for a academic only or combined only visa. There are other criteria to consider, like being physically present in Nigeria, previous visa was issued in Nigeria, etc.
