He expressed his optimism for the polls, at a meeting with Ad-hoc delegates of the party, which took place on Wednesday, June 23 2021 at Cana House in Awka and had in attendance, the Ad-hoc delegates from the 326 wards in the state and various PDP stakeholders.

Speaking at the meeting, Ozigbo, who is also the immediate past President and Group CEO of Transcorp Plc, narrated how he grew up the son of a school principal and developed a habit of excellence, which he still embodies.

Noting that his reason for meeting with the delegates was to spread his message of “Anambra Chawapu” – intimate them on his good plans for the state, and solicit their support, he expressed excitement at the warm reception he was met with, assuring that he was experienced in diverse industries; such as oil and gas, tourism, tech, sports amongst others, and with God’s backing and the support of the delegates, he will deliver to the people of Anambra state.

In an interview withh our reporter Marvelous Ezenwa, a PDP stakeholder from Aguata LG, and Director of finance for the VCO Campaign Organization, Hon Tony Offia, described the meeting as an opportunity for Mr Ozigbo to meet and share his ideas with Ad-hoc delegates of the party, having earlier met with statutary delegates; as they were also an important part of the party.
He also added that Ozigbo was towing the path of Peter Obi and Anambra was ready for his leadership.

Asserting confidence in Ozigbo’s plans, Hon Tim Egboka of the Contact and mobilization unit of the VCO Campaign, in a chat with our correspondent noted that Ozigbo’s experience as an entrepreneur will be useful in governance – as Anambra state was business based and his input will be beneficial to develop an independent economy in the state.
