Valentine Ozigbo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the 2021 Anambra governorship election, was in Nnewi on Friday, February 25, 2022, to mourn with the Chukwuma family over the loss of their mother, Mrs Martina Nwanyinkwo Chukwuma.
Mrs Chukwuma was the mother of Chief Gabriel Chukwuma, the CEO of Gabros Group of companies, and Chief Innocent Chukwuma, the MD/CEO of Innoson Group of Companies.
She was aged 101 years.
The elaborate funeral ceremony, which took place at the Chukwuma family residence in Umudim, Nnewi, attracted a host of
distinguished personalities, including business and political leaders.
In his condolence message to the bereaved, Ozigbo commiserated with his friends over the loss of their mother.
Ozigbo, who is the immediate past President of Transcorp Plc, thanked God for granting Mama Chukwuma long life and the privilege of raising successful children who have contributed immensely to the economy and progress of Nnewi, Anambra State and Nigeria.
He acknowledged that, while every loss is a source of sorrow, mama’s life on earth should be celebrated and her legacies upheld.
