The National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT), has threatened a nationwide protest beginning August 6 over unresolved issues with the Federal Government.
NAAT’s demands include the payment of withheld salaries, implementation of minimum wage adjustments, and a fairer share of recently disbursed N50 billion.
The union expressed displeasure over the alleged lopsided allocation of the funds, which gave ASUU 80 percent, leaving 20 percent to be shared by NAAT, SSANU, and NASU.
NAAT President, Comrade Ibeji Nwokoma, said other grievances include unpaid allowances and neglect of field trips and call duty entitlements.
A memo signed by General Secretary Abubakar Yusuf indicates protests will hold August 6, 13, and culminate in a national protest in Abuja on August 20.
