Vice President Kashim Shettima departed Abuja for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to represent Nigeria at the United Nations Food Systems Summit from yesterday July 27 to Tuesday, 29.
In a post on his official X handle, Shettima said the summit aims to strengthen global food security and transform food systems.
He will join other world leaders in high-level discussions, including sessions on sustainable agriculture, coffee value chains, and climate-smart food production.
The summit will also review progress made since the 2021 edition.
Shettima is expected to participate in ministerial roundtables, networking sessions, and strategic meetings on public finance and trade.
