The church is a place to deliver people from fear, oppression and eternal damnation and a place of succour, joy and encouragement.
This was reiterated by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Archbishop of Abuja Unity Cathedral Methodist Church of Nigeria on Sunday.
He seized the opportunity to call on politicians , religious and traditional leaders and all in authority to do the right thing in building and uniting the nation.
He said that a church should reflect the light and power of the gospel of the love of Jesus Christ.
Osinbajo also stated that the forces of evil and hate are more forceful and widespread than ever with the battle between light and darkness more intense but expressed belief that the church will prevail.
