Victor Osimhen, Emmanuel Dennis, Others Replaced in Super Eagles AFCON Squad

Following his positive Covid 19 test and injury limitations, Napoli and Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen will not be a part of the Super Eagles team to play at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations

Making the announcement on Friday, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) also noted that Watford attacker Emmanuel Dennis, Cyprus-based Abdullahi Shehu, and center-back Leon Balogun will also not be part of the squad due to injuries and club restrictions.

Meanwhile, Henry Onyekuru, Peter Olayinka, Tyronne Ebuehi, and Oluwasemilogo Ajayi have been invited as replacements.

The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to hold January 2022 in Cameroon.
