President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing the Nigeria Police Force, emphasizing the importance of equipping officers and improving their welfare. Speaking at the passing-out parade for Regular Officers Course 6 at the Nigeria Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State, Tinubu outlined critical initiatives, including acquiring new vehicles, communication tools, and forensic equipment to bolster crime detection and prevention.
Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Tinubu highlighted the need for a motivated police force, stating that a satisfied and well-cared-for police officer is essential to ensuring the safety and security of our people. He also announced a recruitment drive to address understaffing within the force, aiming to inject new energy and provide opportunities for young Nigerians.
The President urged the newly commissioned officers to serve with compassion and uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. He emphasized the importance of community policing, encouraging officers to build strong relationships with the communities they serve.
