
Report has it that at 6:20 on Tuesday, Sunday Igboho’s house at Soka area of Ibadan was set ablaze by unknown hoodlums.
According to a statement by Oyo state Police spokesman, Gbenga Fadeyi, the hoodlums, who came in Hummer bus and Micra, fired sporadically before setting the house ablaze.
He said that the mini sitting room was burnt while amount of other properties is yet to be estimated.
Mr Gbenga said that the police contacted the fire service immediately the fire was reported while he was also there for an on the spot assessment. According to him, investigation has begun to unravel those behind the fire .
Speaking after the fire was put out, Mr Igboho said that property with 50 million Naira has been lost to the inferno. He said his siblings who were in the house at that time, escaped unhurt.
He said his agitations are for all of the Yoruba to come together against kler herdsmen who have been terrorizing the citizens by killing, kidnapping and raping their women in Yoruba land.
It will be recalled that Mr Igboho, who is an indigene of Oyo had told Fulani Herders to leave their state over allegations of kidnappings, killings , rape and other violent activities.
