It was celebration in Tsafe town on Saturday as the Emir of Yandoton Daji Emirate in Zamfara State, Aliyu Marafa turbaned a notorious bandits leader, Adamu Aliero-Yankuzo, aka Ado Alero, as Sarkin Fulani of the emirate.
Alero is the leader of one of the most ruthless groups responsible for the killings, maiming and kidnappings in the local communities of Zamfara and Katsina States.
According to reports, the event took place on Saturday amid wild celebrations with motorbike stunts.
He was declared wanted by the Katsina Police Command in 2019 with a bounty of 5 million Naira on his head.
In June 2020, the then Commissioner of Police in Katsina State, Sanusi Buba, while declaring Mr Aliero wanted said: the command declared Adamu Aliero, 45, of Yankuzo village of Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State wanted.
