The Labour Party (LP) Candidate for Anambra Central Senatorial District in the 2023 Election, Senator Victor Umeh, has promised that he would join other vocal lawmakers from the Igbo extraction to defend the region on issues concerning Ndi-Igbo at the floor of the Senate if elected.
Umeh, a former National Chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), made the promise while inaugurating his 75- Campaign Council Members at his campaign office Udoka Housing Estate Awka, on Wednesday.
It was gathered that the campaign council led by Mr. Chukwudi Okeke, as the Director General, were selected across the seven Council Areas; Awka North, Awka South, Idemili North, Idemili South, Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia that constitute the Central Senatorial District.
Umeh, while addressing the Campaign team, assured the people of his district of quality representation, adding that the social-political development of Igbo region would remain a mirage unless committed people like him with vast experience are given the opportunity to change the narrative.
He recalled that he was able to execute 55 projects across the district within the 17- months he was in the Senate, expressed confidence that the election will be a landslide victory for him.
