School Authorities in Anambra State Urged to ensure enforcement of COVID-19 Safety Protocols as schools are about to reopen

School Authorities in Anambra State have been charged ensure the implementation of all safety measures to check the spread of coronavirus.
 
The Deputy Chairman, Post Primary Schools Service Commission, PPSSC, Awka, Lady Pat Offia, who stated this in a chat with journalists in Awka, said this was necessary to avert the second wave of the virus, especially now that schools are about to reopen.

She listed the safety measures to include fumigation of school premises, provision of buckets with running water  and soap for regular hand washing, as well as using Infrared  thermometer for temperature check.
 
The PPSSC Awka Deputy Chairman, reminded all that the fight against COVID-19 pandemic should start from the grassroot like villages and churches to inculcate the safety messages in the minds of the citizens.

Lady Pat who is also the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Primary Education, said people should also improve on their personal hygiene, as well as make use of alcohol based hand sanitizer to protect themselves from contracting the deadly virus.
