The Adamawa State Government has dismissed social media claims that expired foodstuffs were distributed to flood victims in Yola South.
Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency, Celine Laori, told reporters that the allegations are politically motivated, aimed at tarnishing Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s image.
Laori said no expired items were given out, stressing the administration’s commitment to humanitarian support.
Last Saturday, Deputy Governor Kaletapwa Farauta distributed food to 4,000 households affected by recent floods. She assured residents that the Fintiri government will continue to assist victims and promote recovery efforts across the state.
