The Agulu Water Scheme in Anambra State will soon be completed. This is according to Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka, the State Commissioner for Power and Water Resources.
During an inspection visit on Wednesday, Chukwuemeka confirmed that the project is progressing well and reiterated Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s commitment to providing clean, portable water to the state’s residents.
The Agulu Water Scheme, once completed, will serve Nanka, Obeledu, Akwaeze, Aguluzigbo, and other neighboring communities. Chukwuemeka highlighted that the installation of a solar farm will ensure a constant water supply. He also urged the benefiting communities to take ownership of the water scheme and protect public utilities from theft and vandalism.
Joining the Commissioner on the inspection were Hon. Ikeobi Ejiofor, Managing Director of the Anambra State Water Resource Management Agency, and other officials.
