The recently commissioned Anambra International Passengers and Cargo Airport has recorded 142 flights in the last one month.

The management of the airport, in a release, said a total of three thousand, eight hundred and sixty five passengers have passed through the airport which officially opened for scheduled and non-scheduled flight operations on the 7th of December, 2021.

According to the release, during this period, only 1 flight was cancelled and another diverted to a neighbouring airport.

Only Airpeace and United Nigeria Airlines have started operations at the airport, but aviation experts believe that passenger and cargo traffic will increase as soon as the other approved airlines begin operations.

The airport has also hosted a presidential jet and private jets.
